Shaun Ryder says Stone Roses will reform as Ian Brown 'needs the money'

Former Happy Mondays frontman Shaun Ryder has said he believes legendary Manchester group The Stones Roses will reform because their frontman Ian Brown needs the money.

In an interview with the Sun, Ryder, who plays a solo show at London's Proud2 on June 3rd, said: "I think it'll happen, I really do. There is more of a chance now than ever of them getting back together.' Shaun added. "The only reason they will get back together is if Ian needs the cash. He never has before, he's a millionaire."

Shaun Ryders solo gig will see him play the best of the iconic Happy Mondays, and the more eclectic Black Grape. Expect to hear everything from Step On to In the Name of the Father, Kinky Afro to Reverend Black Grape, and 24 Hour Party People, all over a thundering live sound system.

Tickets £12.50 adv from www.proud2.com
