Ryanair cabin crew members returned to undress action to collect money for charity. The airline is launching its fourth annual calendar charity on Wednesday (11/10/2010) and then, as proclaimed by the Telegraph, which shows that only a dozen female staff wear a bikini.
The company hopes to raise funds up to 85,000 pounds for charities Germany, Tafel, which provides food for those who suffer from poverty and malnutrition throughout Germany, including a large number of children. "Ryanair cabin crew are pleased that once again could open the clothes to charity action," said Michael O'Leary, Ryanair Chief Executive.
He added that the decision to donate funds for a German charity based on the fact that 30 percent of calendar 2010 sales occurred in Germany. Money from the sale of the calendar last year donated to the British charity, KIDS.
Publication of calendar 2009 sparking criticism from Labour Party members Mary Honeyball who assess Ryanair has sexualising aviation industry, and described the move as an "act of desperation to gain profit." However, O'Leary was responding to criticism by explaining, Honeyball represents the "anti-fun".
Gerd Häuser, Tafel Chief Executive, said: "We are grateful to everyone in the Ryanair on behalf of our 50,000 volunteers who deliver meals every day to people in need throughout Germany."
